CDC).

Sadly it’s not their website that’s the problem…

Unfortunately my Greek isn’t as proficient as I wish it was however my understanding is slightly better.

I have been living in Greece for nearly 3 years now since moving from the UK and have had to deal with KEELPNO on many levels. As I believe you’re interested in news and social welfare of Greece and hoped you may highlight these very serious issues whereby so many have tried to cover it up within the Ministries and media so far.

I thought it was appropriate to highlight people to some of the problems I have discovered so far whilst I have had to fight the system trying to survive here and how state sponsored brutality is not only ripe but highly covered up by so many.

I have written several articles myself whilst trying to highlight corruption and criminal behaviour of several factions and thought you might be interested. Unfortunately they are in English however the first one does have links to articles in Greek :

I thank you for your time and hope you can highlight some of the problems exposed by myself and a few dedicated people,

    yours sincerely,

    Hi Simon,

I find your comment very interesting. I do not endorse it, as I have no knowledge of the corruption issues you discuss in relation to ΚΕΕΛΠΝΟ. On the other hand, it would not surprise me if the issues you raise are true. Corruption is a well known problem within Greek state organizations and the issue you highlight is that of transparency. Technology (which is the subject of this forum) is one way to increase transparency and reduce its greatest enemy: bureaucracy. However, technology cannot substitute the ethos of public servants which is shaped mainly by the endemic ill-conceived voter-politician relationship («I do you a favour, you vote for me»). Tackling this issue is clearly a political decision, as well as a desire for many citizens (not all unfortunately) in Greece.

You might like to let the Greek Ombudsman (http://www.synigoros.gr/en_index.htm) know about the issue. You are likely to find that they do take seriously complaints and documented civic right violations and you will be surprised to know that they can provide advice on how to take action on these issues, even if they are understaffed (and thus slow) in their response.

However, here we discuss technology issues :-) .
